MiFi, Wireless portable router with 3G connectivity

The Novel networks announced a portable wireless router with 3G connectivity called MiFi. This router can be integrated with exiting EVDO or HSPA high speed data access network. The size of the device is ultra small as compared to a credit card.

This can be shared not only with users but also with devices like laptops, camera, mobiles, multimedia devices etc..

The device support up-to 5 users simultaneously. This device has a on-board Linux processor capable of hosting application and an external storage media, MicroSD. So the device can be used as a hot spot along with a EVDO or HSPA internet connection.

The Novatel claims the internal battery can provide 40 hours standby time and 4 hours active usage on a single charge. The MiFi will be available in the first quarter of 2009 and the expected cost of the device is under $300.

IIM-K Venue for Barcamp Kerala4

Barcampkerala is very active these days, it is good news in having Barcamp regularly in Gods own Country. WordPress For iPhone Now the wordpress blogging platform can be available for iPhone. WordPress is the most powerful and the first open source blogging applicaiton,leverges the blogging made more easier. Now you can edit, create new posts, moderate posts, or even reedit your posts from your Apple iPhone or iPod Touch. Worpress also supports the self hosting capability along with wordpress.com. Now the worpress released 1.1 and now 1.2 Beta is available for download.

The WordPress for iPhone 1.2 Beta includes :

Gmail introduces task / to-do’s

Gmail added a lightweight tool to track your pending task, this will spice up your inbox if you are really unhinged to track your to-do’s.

How to enable task?

Go to settings link and navigate Labs tab. You can see an option (radio button) for enable / disable.

Does the application suits you?

If you are a serious user those who are very busy with works and you are not able to track your to-do’s this is the right application. In the busy life, marking our to-do is only method to get things done.

After adding the application in your mailbox you can add / edit / remove tasks. Moreover you can add email as task also.
