I am going to explain the process of creating your own torrents and share it to others. Please read  prerequisite for this post before you start reading this tutorial. I mentioned  about torrent clients in one of my previous post.  We can use torrent client utorret to create our own torrent file. You can download utorrent here. After downloading the application install it into your local system.

Step 1) Open the application utorrent.

Click on the utorrent icon shown below or type CTRL + N or go to ‘File -> Create New Torrent…’.

Step 2) Now you can add the files / folders of the files to be shared.

Step 3) Now browse to the folder which you want to upload. Then click ‘OK’.

Step 4) The next step is very important and crucial which is the tracker you wish to use to share your content. Tracker can be either public or private

For private trackers, look in the trackers area of the private torrent service provider.

Step 5) Now fill in the URLs of the trackers, either from above or the ones you wish to use.
If you want to use more than one tracker then separate each tracker URL with a blank line.

It is not good to upload copyright protected material, as the law in different coutries prohibit it. So make sure to not to upload the same.

Step 6) Check the “Start Seeding” checkbox.

Step 7) Click on the “Create and save as…” button as below.

Step 7) On the new window, save the destination folder to save .torrent file.

Step 8)  Now when the uploading is done 100% in utorrent then go to your favorite torrent site and upload the .torrent file which you have saved in the previous step.

Step 9)  Now download the uploaded torrent file and navigate it to the folder which you used to create the torrent file. When done 100% downloading leave it for seeding so that others downloading your torrent file gets good speeds.

Gmail recently overcomes the hurdles adding inline images while composing email. I have explained some workaround sometime back, moreover I am still getting lot of traffic to the post. I think gmail recognized the fact. Yeah it is now added as one of the lab feature. Enable the lab feature for inline images like below.

Once you enable the lab feature the upload icon will appear on the mail composing window like below. Enjoy mailing..

I came to see about an open source firmware for wifi routers last week. The main advantage of this firmware is, you can install this firmware to your favorite routers like linksys, broadcom routers etc. I had a try on this to my Linksys WRT54G router.  This is not only a firmware for a router you can even manage the data usage to each and every clients that are connected with this router using a Web UI provided with the firmware.
