The much awaited moment has come for all Blackberry fans, Blackberry 10 OS was released today. BB OS7 range has been badly in need for a makeover facing stiff competition from iOS 6, Android Jelly Bean and Windows Phone 8. BlackBerry 10 has got something very fresh and BlackBerry has scrapped the BB OS7 base and risen from ashes. It has a new user interface with some unique easy-to-navigate features.


BlackBerry 10 comes with a lock screen that not only shows the time and date, but also notifications, unread messages and upcoming calendar events.

For unlocking the touchscreen, you need to slide your finger above the screen and when you do that the home screen below will begin to appear, giving you a sneak peek of what’s beneath.


Blackberry 10 camera comes with an autofocus, 5x digital zoom. Another unique feature that it has got is a timeshift mode which allows you to take an array of photos. You can revisit it later in a timeline to pick your favorite one.

Features and apps

You can discover Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC. You can You can log into multiple e-mail accounts and social networks, share stuffs to social networks and it has a nice music app and a basic maps app too. You can also edit Word and Excel documents, and also view PowerPoint and Adobe PDF files.

Peek and Flow

Peek and Flow is a unique feature of BlackBerry 10 which gives you the same comfort like the way you use your system. This feature allows you to glide between applications and screens with no hard navigation tools like the back or home buttons.

One of the significant features that most of the first reviews point out is the multitasking and time saving feature. It is really worthy for it’s price.
