Microsoft Surface tablets are ultra-light and the highly durable magnesium, Surface will change the way you work and play. You can run office apps and you will just love to watch movies in HD, connect with your friends and family. There are basically two models of Surface tablets they are Surface PRO and Surface RT.

Surface RT is an entertainment tablet. With Xbox Music and Video, games, email, and web surfing, you’ll never run out of ways to play.Surface RT is loaded with Office Home & Student 2013 RT Preview,2 which includes versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote optimized for touch.

A laptop in tablet form, Surface PRO gives you faster performance and stunning visuals. It uses an Intel processor with the latest technologies. There are drawing and note taking apps in this tablet.

Microsoft is currently working on a new model of Surface, called Surface Plus which is a 7-inch edition, it will have extra features when compared to Google Nexus 7 and iPad mini. It’s been said that this tablet will be available before Christmas. Surface 2 is expected to use the latest technologies like NFC, LTE and even wireless charging. Right after the launch of this tablet, we can hope Microsoft to become one of the first tablet makers to use the latest high-speed, low-power 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard. Microsoft 1 has already come up with twin antennas.

A major problem of the previously released models were the battery life, it’s been expected that the new model soon to be released will curb this problem. It’s been rumored that Microsoft is working on an Xbox device that will be available with this tablet.   The tablet will also carry a customized build of Windows built specifically for Xbox and tablet gaming and media consumption.

The new reports of the Surface 2 tablet came out soon after Microsoft officially revealed  the Windows 8 specifications. the set of minimum specs Microsoft requires manufacturers who want to build Windows devices to adhere to. Within those changes, Microsoft changed the display resolution to allow for smaller devices at 1024×768 pixels – ideal for a 7-inch device.

Microsoft’s Surface products haven’t got high sales in the market so far so far, Therefore it’s expected that Microsoft will rectify this problem with it’s  second-generation of Surface. We can definitely expect something great this time.
