Samsung’s flagship smartphones as expecting an update quite soon, exact date not yet out but that would happen before the end of this year, but not long to the end. The Jelly bean update is ready, and the update would be first rolled on to the Samsung’s current flagship Galaxy S3 and then soon after down to Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note.
Time from reliable sources point that the update for Galaxy S3 sure would happen first and that will happen somewhere to the third quarter of the year and in case for Galaxy 2 and Galaxy Note, to the fourth quarter. If that is a no update Samsung go along the last minute for Galaxy S2, the S2 owners would get something like a ‘value pack’ update.
About the Galaxy Note 2, its been tested with Android 4.0, its been still under uncertainty if the phablet is gonna be launched in Jelly Bean or the earlier Ice Cream Sandwich.
Now the dates would just mean its a bit of a wait and if you can’t push those many days, the unofficial update is still available in Cyanogen Mod 10. Getting your Galaxy S2 updated to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean via Cyanogen Mod is not any a difficult task, cuts the wait it the official release.
