Samsung’s new tablet computer Galaxy Tab 3.0 is assumed to be launched this June. It has a 8-inch display, a variation to the usual 7 inch screens of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab series. There are even rumors about the launch of a 3G version of the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 by the end of July. SamMobile has reported that Samsung is working on a multitude of products with model numbers starting with the prefix, ‘SM’.
Samsung focused blog, SamMobile has recently reported that you can see both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + 3G variants of the 8-inch model. It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 models will be made available in white, with the SM-T3100 in the 3G version of the 16GB Galaxy Tab 3 and SM-T3110 in the Wi-Fi version.
It is believed that it will give stiff competition to the Galaxy Note 8.0 which is right now available in United Kingdom at a price of £339 (Rs 28,000 approximately).
Regarding the technical specifications of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3, not much information are available except the model number of the two expected variants. It’s been said that this tablet model comes at a budget friendly price of $149. It comes with LTE connectivity support and the device is undergoing a certification testing.
SamMobile recently published an image of a device named Galaxy Tab 3 Plus. However many sources acclaim that it is a picture of Galaxy S Tab to pay tribute to Samsung’s popular Galaxy S smartphones. However the device resembles very much like Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet by it’s shape and size. However the speakers, camera, sensors and home button are located in the same line which is not the same like Galaxy Note 8.0, depicting that it is a different device.
You will have to wait for few more months to hear some official statement regarding the launch, the eight inch screen will be a unique selling proposition of this gadget; a great feature that you are always looking for in a tablet. The best part is that it comes at an affordable price range.
