Twitter launched a new video app yesterday called ‘Follow Me’ which will allow the users to create share-able videos of their social visibility like top tweets, images, and followers. The videos will include a huge selection of licensed soundtracks from a catalog of more than one million tunes from Rumblefish. Twitter says that this will be a fresh way to express individual tweet style, and all users will definitely have a great fun with it.
The video app is powered by Portland, USA startup Vizify, that partnered with Twitter six months ago for ” Your year on Twitter”. Vizify is a automatic infographic-maker that gathers social media data into an interactive experience.
The best part is the site’s HTML5 capability that allows the videos to be played on any mobile device. You can generate it within a matter of few seconds and you will be able to edit it and you can take full control over what the video shows. You can even opt to add it to your Twitter bio.
“We see ourselves as helping to communicate online what it is that’s special about you, using the weight of tweets to tell unique stories about people.,” mentions Vizify CEO Todd Silverstein,
“Vizify analyzes, organizes and digitizes the words you talk about most on Twitter.” he adds on.
For getting started all you need to do is to click Vizify.com and give the third-party app access to your Twitter account. You will then be redirected to the Vizify site, where you’ll find a customized video. You can edit the music and photos. You can even add or cut certain scenes in it.
There’s no time limit in this app unlike Vine which is just six seconds. So you can use your wild imagination to make whatever you want. Vine got much popularity even when the time limit was really low. So just imagine how Follow Me Video app will win the hearts of people all across the globe.
Twitter has turned to celebrities like NBA stars Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry and actress Amber Riley to endorse its new video tool. ”You’ll find out if you’re a night owl or an early bird, discover your most engaged followers, and feature your most popular Tweets. All set to music,” Twitter Managing Editor James Buckhouse wrote on the company’s blog.
More and more new features will be introduced for example when you create videos on Twitter, you will find a launch button right on your profile. This is an exciting feature which will definitely bring millions of fans for Twitter.
