Xbox 720 release date has been rumored for awhile and many experts in the industry say that this gaming machine will be available this year. Many reports have already come about the arrival of Xbox by Christmas 2013. Microsoft has briefly stated that the release will happen soon. The Bloomberg’s report of Xbox release by the end of 2012 has been proven wrong. In January too there was a rumor from Game informer that a huge launch event will happen by the end of March, that also has been a false report. You should wait for some more time to hear something officially from Microsoft itself.

  • The Xbox 720‘s CPU will be an AMD Jaguar-based CPU clocked at 1.6GHz just like PS4. Therefore  game developers may find it greatly beneficial.
  • Regarding the graphics,  there are rumors that it will contain a revision of AMD’s 7000 series graphics, that’s based on 28nm Graphics Core Next (GCN) Southern Islands tec

  • Xbox 720 have around twelve processing clusters and it will use AMD Radeon 7790 chip version. Therefore it consumes less power and lead to cheaper bits.
  • Xbox 720 is rumored to have 8GB of general system memory and separate graphics memory.
  • There are rumors that Xbox 720 will come with a blue ray drive or even without that too. There is a possibility to include blue ray as they hold more data. In a report that leaked in June 2012,  Xbox 720 will come with a  1080 p 3D support, Blu-ray player and DVR functionality. So you can assume that Microsoft is attempting to position the Xbox 720 as an all in one set-top box in your living room.
